The City of Gering's swimming pool is quite a hub of activity in the summer months. Swimming lessons, private parties, family hour, and open swimming are quite popular among Gering's residents. Gering's swimming pool includes a large water slide, two tube slides, a diving board, and a baby pool for our younger residents and visitors.

Lap Swimming: Sunday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon 

Open Swimming - Daily from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m.

Family Hour - Daily from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Children must be accompanied by a parent.)

Open Swimming - Daily from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Season Passes can be purchased during normal pool hours.

Guards are on duty at all times except in the baby pool area. Water slide rules apply during private parties.

The Gering Swimming Pool staff is anxious for the swimming season to begin.  You may purchase a pool pass made by debit or credit card may only at the Gering City Office 1025 P Street, 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday.  You may purchase a pool pass at the Gering Swimming Pool made by check or cash only.

The goal of Gering Swimming Pool staff is for all children to have the opportunity to learn to swim.  The Gering Swimming Pool will hold three sessions of swimming lessons.  Classes begin at 9:00am or 10:00am and last 45 minutes.

Private pool parties can be scheduled at the pool with two weeks advance notice of the party date.  Pool parties can be scheduled from 8pm – 10pm on Wednesday and Friday, Saturday from 10am – 12noon.  The cost of a pool party is $175.00.  There will be no pool parties scheduled after August 3, 2024.
